Two Ph. D scholarships in Heat Conduction in Nanostructures

Two Ph. D scholarships are available from 1 August 2007 at Prof. Li Baowen's group at Department of Physics and the Centre for Computational Science & Engineering (CCSE), National University of Singapore (NUS). The successful applicants will work with other members in the group on heat conduction in low dimensional systems including nonlinear lattice and nanosctructures.
The Ph.D scholarship at first year is 1,500S$/month. It will be increased to 2,000S$/month after passing the Ph. D qualification examination which usually takes place in the second and third semester. TOEFL and GRE scores are a plus but NOT necessary.
